Unbroken Bonds decks and how much they cost to build

Unbroken Bonds (SM10) is finally here! So I've done some research into what new decks we might see in the next few weeks and also looked into the prices of these cards to help you out decide what decks you might want to go for or what to avoid for the time being. I am still in the middle of my exam period so I couldn't take much time to work on this so this is all I have to work with for now.

It might be especially useful to some of you ,especially those of you in the South East Asia region as the Singapore SPE is the week after the set is legal for competitive play, so you might want to look around to get the cards for the deck you need for the next few months or the upcoming SPE.

For each of the decks that are displayed, I'll share the link to the deck profile video from some of the top deck builders on YouTube who have shared their ideas for SM10. I don't have the time to look around for more stuff so for now I'll just share these 12 decks. Prices are taken from Troll and Toad as per usual and the price is of release date (May 3rd 2019).

Link to deck profiles are on the names of each decks. Some of them were just initial ideas but the main reason for sharing them is to give you guys a rough idea on where to start with your own possible ideas for a certain deck.

Also you might have noticed why 12 decks? Just to give a split of GX attackers and non-GX and I just could not narrow it down to 10. First six decks profiled are decks with GX attackers (be it Tag Team or normal GXes) and the last six decks profiled features mainly non-GX attackers.

At the very end I'll do a comparison of all the prices for each decks and how much the upcoming rotation will hit these decks. Also for rotation, cards from the same evolution line won't be counted if one was rotating and the other isn't.

Total Cost for each deck:
  1. Reshiram & Charizard-GX - $240.24
  2. Porygon-Z/Tag Teams - $147.12
  3. Greninja & Zoroark-GX - $146.16
  4. Zoroark-GX/Dewgong - $138.05
  5. Blacephalon - $134.84
  6. Honchkrow-GX/Mismagius - $123.52
  7. Hitmonchan/Hitmonlee - $111.10
  8. Buzzwole & Pheromosa-GX - $110.21
  9. Gardevoir & Sylveon-GX - $93.31
  10. Spiritomb/Stunfisk - $93.15
  11. Vikavolt/Meganium - $83.25
  12. Weezing/Tapu Koko - $79.04

Deck Least/Most affected by 2019-2020 Rotation
  1. Blacephalon - 13.33%
  2. Porygon-Z/Tag Teams - 18.33%
  3. Buzzwole & Pheromosa-GX - 20%
  4. Vikavolt/Meganium - 23.33%
  5. Reshiram & Charizard-GX - 25%
  6. Gardevoir & Sylveon-GX - 25%
  7. Greninja & Zoroark-GX - 25%
  8. Hitmonchan/Hitmonlee - 30%
  9. Honchkrow-GX/Mismagius - 31.67%
  10. Weezing/Tapu Koko - 31.67%
  11. Spiritomb/Stunfisk - 36.67%
  12. Zoroark-GX/Dewgong - 55%

No surprised that Reshiram & Charizard-GX is the most expensive deck on this list, even just it's Pokemon line is more expensive than the Porygon-Z deck, aka the 2nd most expensive deck on the list! It's also worth to note that more than half the decks have their total Trainers count costing more than $50, if there was any proof how vital these cards have always been to the game.

The decks that are most hit by rotation tend to rely heavily on stuff like Double Colourless Energy and heavy counts on Ultra or Nest Balls so the newer decks like Blacephalon and BuzzMosa will have no trouble adapting the upcoming changes being a turbo style deck. Also a lot of these decks aren't running Dedenne-GX, which is one of the reasons why the Greninja & Zoroark-GX deck is so highly prices in this list, it's almost as expensive as the Charizard & Reshiram-GX card so you'll want to get them as soon as possible.

I hope this can be of any help to anyone still deciding on what decks to build for SM10 and perhaps beyond that as well. If you want more deck profiles, may I suggest Omnipoke and Rare Candy on YouTuber, there is a reason why I featured their lists more than once compared to the others.
